Coltin singing!

He was there.

Were you? If so, send me your review of the festivities - whether it be a quick blurb or a long report. I'd love to post it! (e-mail me @ Allie108@aol.com)

REVIEW #1:

What's All This Super Soap Madness?

By Alison

The gates opened, and the soap fans were off and running in record numbers, the crowd partially thanks to the New Jersey's teacher conference at Disney the day before. The crowds were the worst they've been all five years, and people awaited Susan Lucci wristbands for ungodly hours. I, a devout General Hospital fan, bore through the crowd and headed directly to Coltin Scott's line, dragging with me my friend, Donna, who knows nothing about GH, yet dared to come.

I was near the beginning of the line, but I still had a half an hour wait (considerably short, mind you) until he even arrived. The crowd let out a cheer and I turned in time to snap a potentially great picture of Coltin arriving (which later was lost by Walgreens, whom I've cursed profusely at.) We went through line, snapped another picture (on the same, misplaced roll) and I asked him a quick question about potential with Gia. He said he hoped something would come out of it, and we chatted for a moment. The "yellowshirt" (Disney employee) shoved the next person in and we said goodbye to Coltin.

We headed for Jacob Young's line, snapped a picture, and went to see "Leo" (can't remember his real name) from All My Children. We snapped a picture there and gaped at the horrendous line. (Little did we know we hadn't seen anything yet, though I'd been to SSW three times before.) Jacob's session had just ended and he bumped into me. We laughed about it, and we got a presumably good (but lost) picture of him. He had a yellow rose, which presumably a fan had given him, and he gave one to me with another apology before disappearing into the Disney tunnels.

We grabbed lunch, took in a talk shows - one with Julie Pinson, Jon Nordstrom, Lynn Herring, and "Ian" (don't know his name) from Port Charles. They were all very playful and entertaining. Next, we ventured to wait for Sarah Brown, two hours early.

Little did we know, it would become a mob scene. It was her first signing, and the "yellowshirts" were not prepared. We got there at 2:00 for a 4:00 signing. There was already the beginning of an "unofficial line." Michael E. Knight was still signing (he'd signed straight through his lunch!) and, even as our "unofficial" line grew, the yellowshirts refused to make it official, meaning a riot (which had supposedly happened at Esta Ter Blanche's line) could ensue. We started out as thirty one and thirty two in line and by the time we were actually in the ropes, we were in the seventies. Sarah signed like mad, taking care of a few thousand people before she had to leave for a game show at 5:25. She came back for her next signing, and even came back after the motorcade, during the concert. I was drastically impressed.

Next, we saw Susan Lucci at the talk show, and it was one, long infomercial, but she's very, very sweet and we got her autograph. We watched the parade and concert. I was very disconcerted when Coltin Scott sang. That was SO not Nikolas Cassadine attire! Catherine Hickland in leather (or pleather?) was also

Next day, saw Nancy Lee Grahn, who was having terrible eye trouble and needed sunglasses and later a patch too. Then, we watched a show with Sarah Brown, Nancy Lee Grahn, Wally Kurth, and John Ingle. They came on with sunglasses, in tribute to Nancy, and Sarah was losing her voice already. Quick Note: John Ingle really impressed me by seeming so incredibly, amazingly glad to be there.

We saw another talk show, one with Coltin Scott, Jacob Young, and Rebecca Herbst. Coltin didn't get a chance to say much, Jacob monopolized much of the short time by giving skateboarding lessons to an young girl, and Rebecca looked very bored. They talked about how Coltin and Jacob are practical jokers, but Jacob is more extreme about it. Speculation: I get the feeling Rebecca still misses Tyler and Jonathan. We took some pictures, saw a few other shows, and awaited the concert.

THE END
