Nikolas: Hey. Thank you for meeting me here.
Gia: Well, thanks for lending me you Jag.
Nikolas: It's still in, uh, one piece?
Gia: You had to ask? Is your uncle okay?
Nikolas: Yeah, yeah.
Gia: So why do you have that look?
Nikolas: What look?
Gia: Ticked but covering.
Nikolas: It's not Stefan.
Gia: Well, don't look at me because it's been weeks since I spilled orange
juice on your shirt. I mean I even fed Sheva this morning.
Nikolas: Sheba.
Gia: Well, Sheba, Sheva---at least you're smiling.
Nikolas: Yeah, well, it' s not you either. It's, uh, I learned something
about my grandmother today.
(Helena appears at the docks.)
Helena: Nikolas. Oh I was so hoping to see you today. Today of all days.
Nikolas: What's on your mind? On the anniversary of your son's death. You
still planning to sentence your grandson to a lifetime of mind-altering drugs at
an asylum of your choice?
(Nikolas walks toward Helena.)

Nikolas: Remember when you used to hold my hand....when we walked to my
father's grave...you called, you always called me your darling boy. (He grabs
her hands and kisses them.) Your beloved grandson.
Helena: You are.
Nikolas: All you ever wanted was for me to love you the way that you loved
me.
Helena: That's true.
Nikolas: Stefan is the one to watch for. Manipulative. Against us. My title
and the inheritance.
Helena: Nikolas, what has Stefan done to you?
(Nikolas grabs her hands and tightens his grip on them.)
Nikolas: The truth shall set us free grandmother. Madhouse or mistake?
So who's the truth teller here? You or Stefan?
Helena: Stefan has twisted the truth.
Nikolas: What truth?
Gia: Nikolas.
Nikolas: Didn't I come to you fast enough, grandmother, often enough?
I, uh, uh, would sit at your knees. A little prince. Hear stories and tales of
devastation and killing. My birthright.
Helena: You're hurting my hand.
Nikolas: Didn't you think that I would be afraid, alone locked away in a
mental ward?
Did you care? Do you? Do you care?
Helena: Yes, yes. More than you know.
Nikolas: You liar. You wanted me stowed away so you could control my
life. And steal the inheritance with no interference ever.
Helena: What kind of games are you playing?
Nikolas: Truth...or consequences grandmother. Cassadine style.
Helena: Despite what your uncle has obviously told you, everything I did, I
did for you. Luke Spencer threatened your life, Alexis refused to see that you
were in danger, you wouldn't listen to my warnings...so I had no choice. Now I
had to find a some place safe for you.
(Gia approaches, walks towards Nikolas and holds his arm.)
Gia: You evil bitch! Plotting to lock your grandson away and then
blame him for it!
Helena: You stay out of this or you'll live to regret it.
Nikolas: Never threaten Gia.
Helena: You are the threat to Gia if you persist in involving her in family
matters.
Nikolas: I don't care about family matters. I'm crazy, remember? And
when I claim my inheritance, I give it straight to my uncle with the express
instructions to knock you off the face of the earth.
Helena: You have never been more like your father and your grandfather than
at this very moment. A true Cassadine.
(Helena leaves.)
Gia: Nikolas, you okay?
Nikolas: Not even close.
{Next Scene}
Nikolas: Do you know how many times I wish I had been adopted?
Gia: I never really understood about your family until today. I just assumed
you were a spoiled, rich kid.
Nikolas: Oh, I'm rich all right. The heir to billions if I wanted
it----which I don't.
Gia: Dirty money?
Nikolas: Very. You see, I come from a long line of liars and killers.
The Cassadines believe it's their God-given right to destroy anyone who gets in
the way of what they want.
Gia: What was all that you said about your father's grave?
Nikolas: Today's the anniversary of his death. He died when I was a
few months old. Lucky's father, Luke, killed him. And before that, Luke
murdered my grandfather. So that's what started the Spencer-Cassadine
wars.
Gia: I don't believe I'm hearing all this.
Nikolas: And Lucky and I were raised to hate each other and I actually still
can't believe we got passed that.
Gia: Well, I can. You're a good person.
Nikolas: I wonder.
Gia: Trust me. I know.
Nikolas: No, you don't. I want Helena dead. And I would kill her myself if I
thought I could get away with it. And that makes me no better than her.
(Nikolas walks away)
